Detox Program

Medical detox requires the most medical care for a patient. Patients are at the highest risk for complications associated with their drug or alcohol abuse during this time. Due to the increased risk, patients are most closely monitored while undergoing medical detox. Medical detox is the process of safely managing physical symptoms of withdrawal after a patient discontinues using drugs and/or alcohol. For a substance abuse treatment center to be licensed and certified to perform medical detoxification, the first step of the rehabilitation process, the center must have a licensed and practicing physician on staff. Our medical director oversees all day-to-day operations at Radar Recovery Center. Under the guidance of our medical director, our team of licensed medical professionals follows each custom treatment plan created for each patient’s specific needs.

Residential Inpatient Program

Inpatient rehab is a program designed for people who want to take back control of their lives. It’s a chance for the patient to focus on themselves without any interruptions. People should view rehab as a place of safety and a place for healing – that is exactly what Radar Recovery Center’s inpatient rehab program is, a place of serenity. We understand that when a person picks up the phone to ask for help, this is his/her “moment of clarity”. Often, something significant has occurred in one’s life to trigger a person to want to make a change. Losing a job, divorce, DUI, arrest, or losing custody of a child are just a few factors that often prompt someone who is suffering from alcoholism or drug addiction to wanting to make a change.

Co-Occurring Disorder Treatment

Someone with both a substance use disorder and mental illness is suffering from what’s known as a co-occurring disorder (COD), sometimes referred to as a dual diagnosis. Historically, treatment for mental health disorders was separate from the treatment of substance use disorders. Subsequently, those receiving treatment for drug or alcohol abuse often lacked the treatment needed to address underlying mental illnesses. Similarly, those who received treatment for mental health problems would often neglect to address substance abuse issues.
