Recovery Resources

Addiction is a complex condition that can be devastating, not only to the person suffering but to their family as well. There is always hope, and we’re here to be a guiding light for you. Recovery is possible, and numerous resources are available to help individuals on their journey to recovery. These resources range from treatment services to supportive communities outside of a treatment setting, each essential in facilitating recovery.

The journey to recovery from substance use is a personal one, and it’s essential to have the right resources and support systems in place. Whether you seek help or support a loved one, these resources will provide valuable insights to aid you on this journey.

Understanding Addiction

Addiction is a chronic disease characterized by an inability to stop using a substance despite harmful consequences. It can result from genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors. Addiction can manifest in various ways, including alcoholism, drug addiction, or co-occurring mental health disorders.

The Importance of Seeking Help

Seeking help is the first step towards recovery. It can be challenging to admit that you need help, but it’s an essential part of recovery. Depending on the substances and the duration of use, a medical detox may be needed at the start of your journey and get you or your loved one ready for the next step in addiction treatment. Addiction can lead to serious health issues, damaged relationships, and negatively impacts your daily life. Seeking help allows you to start addressing these issues and begin your journey toward a healthier and happier life. Radar Recovery has a fully staffed team of professionals who will help create an individualized treatment plan. We aim to address the immediate and underlying issues to help treat the whole person, not just the relief of withdrawal symptoms.

Types of Recovery Resources

Various recovery resources are available, including treatment services, recovery support services, alumni groups, and community resources. These resources are designed to facilitate recovery by providing the necessary support, care, and guidance. They can include counseling services, sober housing, and recovery support groups. We offer detox and residential levels of care for addiction treatment, and these are often the foundational steps for long-term recovery.

Recovery Support Services at Radar Recovery

Clinical recovery support is imperative in addiction recovery.

We utilize group and individual therapy at our facility to treat the whole person while also developing a peer support system while undergoing treatment. The clinical side of recovery is one part, but having a community is equally as important. While a therapist may not be available 24/7, we have staff on-site at all hours to offer in-the-moment help or a shoulder to lean on if needed. Some of our staff have walked the same road many in our care have been on. Having a community with a common goal helps to foster the development of healthy relationships and begin to normalize talking with others about struggles and recovery.

Benefits of Peer Recovery Support Services

Recovery support services offer numerous benefits, including:

  • Peer support and fostering healthy relationships
  • Guidance from someone who has lived experience with recovery
  • Assistance when needed in a safe environment

Resources for After Addiction Treatment

We offer 12-step meetings while attending our facility, and getting involved in a 12-step community is something that many continue after leaving treatment. 12-step communities are national and worldwide. 12-step groups are run by recovering alcoholics and addicts. Some of the most popular groups are:

There are specific anonymous groups like Cocaine, Heroin, or Crystal Meth Anonymous. Another popular group that recovering addicts and those struggling with mental illness alike often find beneficial is CoDa for Codependents Anonymous.

The Role of Family

Family and community support can play a significant role in an individual’s recovery journey. By providing emotional support, understanding, and encouragement, family and community can help individuals recover. Families also need to focus on their recovery journey, which, like recovery for each individual, can look different for each family member. We offer a family and alumni support group for our alumni and their families to have a continuous community after leaving our care.

There are also anonymous groups available for the loved ones of addicts and alcoholics. Attending these groups allows family members to focus on their recovery outside the loved one’s recovery.

Alumni Services

Once you enter our facility, you become part of the Flyland Family. Having a safe space to discuss wins, losses, and mental health is imperative in addiction recovery. Our alumni community is a space for recovery discussions and a place to address mental health concerns. We recognize that mental well-being is integral to the overall recovery journey. We offer this group to our alumni free of charge. Upon discharge, you will receive access to our alumni group and services.

Recovery is a Lifelong Journey

Treatment isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, and recovery doesn’t look the same for everyone. No healing journey is ever complete, and needs may change as time passes, but numerous paths lead to a life of happiness and healing. Radar Recovery is here for every step of the journey.
